THE family of a mum who died of cancer have pledged their support to a charity walk expected to raise more then £100,000.

Maxine Nicholson died three years ago after being treated at Barnsley Hospice.

More than 1,300 women are expect to complete the Hawaiian-themed Midnight Walk in aid of the Hospice.

Her husband Richard Nicholson who runs Cannon Hall Farm, on Cawthorne Lane, has donated £500 worth of breakfast to give to those who complete the walk.

Maxine’s husband Richard said: “We’re really pleased to be able to make this donation as the walkers will deserve a good breakfast when they’ve finished the route.”

Walk organiser Helen Macintosh said: “We are very grateful to the Nicholson family for their donation.”
