TWO adults and a teenage girl escaped unharmed when a fire broke out in the attic of their Sheffield home.
The trio evacuated after discovering the blaze at the house on Owler Lane, Firth Park.
Three fire engines were deployed to the fire from Darnall and one from Elm Lane.
When crews arrived the family were all safely out, but firefighters had to enter the burning building wearing breathing apparatus.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put the fire out.
“The fire was contained in the attic due to internal doors in the house being closed which prevented the fire from spreading.
“An investigation is currently taking place.”
The fire was reported at 10.15am on Tuesday.
