THE heartbroken owners of a missing dog are appealing for help in tracking him down.

Jake, a six-year-old lowchen, has not been seen by owners Denise Allock and Neil Britain since last Tuesday.

He was in their garden in Sothall when he escaped.

The couple, both aged 43, started looking after the dog five years ago when Neil’s father died.

They said Jake was loved like a child and are desperate to be reunited with him.

Denise, who has put posters up, informed the police and registered her dog on internet sites, said: “We are devastated and our little girl Lucy, who is just four, can’t understand where he has gone. Jake was our last link with Neil’s father, who died in 2006.”
