Faith leaders back Fairtrade
CHURCH leaders are to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight by visiting Sheffield city centre shops to thank them for selling Fairtrade products.
Fairtrade Fortnight, from Monday until Sunday, March 11, is when people are encouraged to buy Fairtrade goods.
The Reverend Vernon Marsh, Sheffield Methodist District chairman, said: “Fairtrade is a way of ensuring farmers and growers in the developing world get fair prices for their produce.”
