FLIPPING marvellous!

A pancake challenge among staff at a Sheffield city centre hotel raised more than £100 for Whirlow Hall Farm.

Jurys Inn Sheffield general manager Jon Broadhurst took on head chef Gareth Nightingale in a contest in the hotel foyer.

Jon did well to flip his pancake 67 times in a minute – but was eclipsed by Gareth, who managed an amazing 100 full flips.

Both men were sponsored by staff and guests for their efforts and the final total raised for the popular charity was £110.

And the fundraising did not stop there.

Gareth’s team served up dozens of fresh pancakes for the guests and they donated £1 for each one sold for the cause.
