EXTRA trains between Sheffield and London have been put on ahead of Christmas.
East Midlands Trains has increased the number of trains running to and from the capital city as part of its new timetable.
The firm says more than 3,600 extra seats will also be provided on the busy Nottingham to Liverpool route, which stops off at Sheffield, every week.
David Horne, EMT managing director, said: “We invest a lot of time and resource into making sure our timetable offers the best possible service for our passengers.
“Every year, we review the timetable and listen to feedback from passengers, staff and stakeholders on how we can make further improvements.
