A cannabis growing operation was discovered in Rotherham this morning by officers involved in a police operation tackling issues affecting local communities.
Extra police officers are on duty in Rotherham for the day of action, known as Operation Duxford, which is also aimed at encouraging residents to raise issues of concern with bobbies.
Chief Superintendent Rob Odell said: “Officers are taking to the streets to bring an increased presence across the town and surrounding districts.
“There will be a number of crime prevention stalls and officers will be available to speak to residents and communities about the issues that affect you.
“If you do see an officer on patrol, or spot one of our crime prevention stalls, please come along and say hello.”
