Organisers of a new drive-in cinema in Sheffield have had to add an extra night to their launch weekend – after the event sold out.
Tickets went on sale last Friday for the first screening, which will be of classic musical Grease on Sunday, April 26, at the drive-in cinema at a car park on Milton Street, near the city centre.
They sold out within hours and now an extra date has been added on Saturday, April 25.
Karen Thorpe, of Movie Park, said: “It’s fantastic that everyone loves the idea and wants to join in the fun.
“We felt that because of the demand for tickets we had to put on an extra night in April.”
Tickets have also been sold for movies in May and June, which are Pulp Fiction and Top Gun. Viewers will be able to help decide what the next films are.
n Tickets are £20 per car and on sale on the Ticketweb website.
