CONTROVERSIAL plans to more than double the size of a house are set to be refused.
Sheffield Council’s city centre, south and east planning board has been recommended to reject the proposals for the property on Newfield Lane, Dore, at a meeting today.
The owners are asking to have the plans certified as being within permitted development rights.
The scheme would create a quadruple garage, workshop, office, indoor golf area, pavilion, music room and gymnasium.
Some 39 residents, Dore and Totley Lib Dem councillors and Dore Village Society have objected.
Refusal would necessitate full planning permission if the owners wanted to go ahead with the development.
