ARTISTS who study painting and creative embroidery at the Abbeydale Picture House are to stage an exhibition this weekend in the Botanical Gardens.
All the artists are regular students who meet weekly to hone their skills at watercolours, acrylics and embroidery, under the guidance of tutor Isabel Blincow.
Isabel, known for her own machine embroideries and paintings, and founder of the Great Sheffield Art Show, said: “Getting to the stage where your work is good enough to show to the public, rather than being hidden on the top of the wardrobe, is very, very satisfying, and a great boost to confidence.”
The free exhibition runs from 10am to 5pm both days in the classroom at the bottom of the Botanical Gardens, entry via Thompson Road.
Refreshments will be served.
