A former Barnsley College student now working as a Sous Chef is urging others to follow in her footsteps.
Jessica Amott, aged 21, studied catering at Barnsley College and is now working at the Spencer Arms in Cawthorne.
The Sous Chef, from Royston, said the course, which is open for applications, gave her the chance to learn while working in the college’s Zest Restaurant at the same time.
Martyn Hollingsworth, Catering Curriculum Leader at Barnsley College, added: “We pride ourselves on preparing our students for their next step and last year 98 per cent of catering and hospitality students went on to work or further study after completing their course.”
