The route is lovely and takes us along the Dove Valley Trail to Wentworth Castle, through Broom Royd Wood and by Worsborough Reservoir back to the start. 7 mile walk and is easy. Thorpe Salvin. The route goes along a deep wooded valley with limestone crags, and visits one of England’s oldest canals. This walk is 6 miles and is easy/mopderate. It will take approx 2.5 hrs. -Dearne Valley Ramblers, SUN 22 NOV. Whirlow, Hanging Water, Endcliffe and Ringinglow Circular. Start time: 10:00. (Estimated finish time: 15:00). Moderate 9.5 miles / 15.3 km. This circular walk offers some spectacular views of Sheffield. It takes the rambler along the Porter Brook Valley and provides the variety of water, woods, fields and a park. There are two short climbs within the walk, otherwise the walk is along paths that are easy to negotiate. There are several stiles that are equally accessible for humans and dogs.
