One of Doncaster’s oldest residents has celebrated her latest major milestone birthday with a visit from family and friends. Ethel Fiori, a resident at Armthorpe’s Old Rectory nursing home, toasted her 101st birthday with daughter Jean Bloomer, of Intake, granddaughter Trish Bloomer, of Derbyshire, grandson Paul Bloomer, of Dunsville - and her little great-grandson Fintan Bloomer, aged nine.

Mrs Fiori also enjoyed a visit from the civic mayor of Doncaster, Coun Eddie Dobbs, on her big day.
