Organisers of the 2016 Plusnet Yorkshire Half Marathon in Sheffield have started taking entries.
The inaugural event took place in April this year, attracting thousands of runners and large crowds along the route.
Next year’s event is to be held on Sunday, April 10
Runners are expected to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for partner charities and other good causes.
The race will starts on Arundel Gate and finish outside the Town Hall in Pinstone Street.
The route incorporates a triple test - giving entrants a chance to be crowned King of the Hill’ in a timed hill climb, triumph in a largely downhill 10K sprint section and cross the finish line first to lift the half marathon title.
The event, organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All in partnership with Sheffield City Council, forms part of the Plusnet Marathon Series which also includes the Leeds Half Marathon and the Yorkshire Marathon.
Participants must be 17 years old on the day of the race.
