Families are in for a treat when a farm opens its doors for a weekend of festive fun.
Whirlow Hall Farm in Sheffield is to host a two-day Christmas fair to raise cash for its projects, giving children from disadvantaged areas of the city the chance to visit.
Visitors can browse a vast array of stalls, order their high-welfare turkey and pick out a Christmas tree from the crop.
The fun will take place this Saturday and Sunday.
Mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas carols will also be on offer.
Sheffield minicab firm Mercury Taxis has sponsored this year’s event to ensure children can attend for free.
Dermot Griffiths, Mercury’s general manager, said: “I go to this magical event every year and it always gets me in the Christmas spirit.
“Mercury’s owners are big supporters of the 480 Club at Whirlow which enables children from some of Sheffield’s most disadvantaged areas to visit the farm.”
Entry is £3.50 for adults.
The fair is open from 10am each day.
