The organisation that provides musical experiences for people with dementia at care homes and day centres joins the Alzheimer’s Society Rotherham-Doncaster for a trio of tea dances that will be held at Silverwood Miners’ Welfare and Resource Centre on Monday, May 21, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, the Ivanhoe Centre, Conisbrough, on, May 23, from 1pm to 3pm and the Forest Gate Day Hospital at Tickhill Road Hospital, Doncaster, on May 25, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Lost Chord musicians Janice Smith, Matthew Downer, Jean Kelly and Demelza Stafford will provide entertainment.
“This is an important week for people who care for someone with dementia, suspect their loved one has dementia or suspect they themselves may have it,” said Lost Chord’s Tina Harrison. “They can come along with family, friends or carers and enjoy the Tea Dance but it’s an opportunity to speak to people in support services.”
