He was always on her mind.So what a day it was when Elsie met Elvis – well sort of.
Elsie has been a massive fan of the King for donkey years.
Like women around the world Elsie goes weak at the knees when he gyrates.
Difference is Elsie has just turned 100.
And when she celebrated her 100th birthday staff at the Sheffield residential care home where she lives decided to do something a little bit Vegas – by inviting an Elvis impersonator to perform at the party.
Elsie was joined at the Jasmin Court Nursing Home on Roe Lane, Pitsmoor, by her family and friends as the Hunka Hunka burning love performed a melody of the King’s best-known songs.
And the home’s manager Diane Rodway said everyone had a great time.
“Elsie sang her heart out with Elvis, then she met the Lady Mayor and enjoyed the buffet before nodding off. It was a big day for her.”
