An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car in Sheffield.

The 85-year-old was struck by a silver Honda Civic in Bole Hill Road, outside the Walkley Cottage pub, Walkley, at 12.15pm on Saturday, November 21.

Police have today revealed she died in hospital on Saturday.

Officers want to speak to witnesses and those who stopped to help.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries so far have revealed that a number of members of the public stopped to offer assistance and support following the collision and officers are keen to speak to these individuals.

“It is understood that two off duty female nurses and a female occupational therapist were among those that stopped.

“If you are one of those individuals who stopped following the collision or hold any information that could help officers, please call 101.”
