YOUNGSTERS at Sheffield Children’s Hospital had an egg-citing surprise when they were presented with a basket filled with Easter treats.
The poorly youngsters were given dozens of chocolate eggs by Sheffield funeral director C&A Reed, after it put out an appeal for donations to local businesses, staff and customers.
Funeral service advisor Kay Jessop teamed up with her colleague Claire Havenhand to hand over the treats.
Kay said the special delivery contained more than 50 eggs, as well as chocolate bunnies and chicks.
She said: “We support local charities throughout the year. It brought a smile to their faces.”
C&A Reed is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support this year, as well as the children’s hospital.
Kay said: “At the moment we’re collecting items for a food hamper that we’re going to give away in a raffle.
“We’ll also do various other activities to raise funds for the charities we support.”
