Young actors to play at National

A GROUP of South Yorkshire students are celebrating after becoming just one of 10 in the country to be chosen to perform at the National Theatre in London.

Acting students at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology are to appear at the National Theatre Connections Festival later this month.

The group were among 180 other youth theatres who took part in the competition.

The students performed The Ritual by Samir Yazbek during their studies at college and then transferred their production to The Crucible.

Connor Dye, aged 17, one of the students who will be performing said: “We are all so excited to be going to London to perform. We have all worked so hard for this chance. This will be something I will remember forever.”
