DONCASTER sisters Rachel and Izzy Craven are keeping it in the family.
They are thought to be the first sisters from the borough to both go to their home town university after 19-year-old Izzy decided to follow in 21-year-old Rachel’s footsteps.
Rachel is due to graduate from University Centre Doncaster at High Melton in November in her graphic design course.
Now younger sister Izzy is following her, having started a social science degree at the same site.
Izzy said: “Rachel was a big influence on me coming to College here - her experience of the place and how much she was enjoying it. She is two years ahead so was able to give me the run down.”
The two ex-Hall Cross School students did not want to go away to university.
Rachel said she wanted to stay in Doncaster rather than move away, live in halls of residence and pay for accommodation.
She now studies 30 minutes away from her home in Bessacarr.
