YOUNGSTERS will be transported back in time as they get a slice of horrible history.
Families are being invited to Victorian Crime and Punishment, which will take them back in time to examine the judiciary system in Britain during the reign of Queen Victoria.
The event, organised by Sheffield Archives, will involve a murder mystery which promises to grip history lovers. Popular local storyteller Andy Messer will keep people in suspense as he relays the tale of 19th century character Quick Mick.
Victorian Crime and Punishment is suitable for all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult.
The event takes place at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane, Sheffield, on Saturday, August 11, from 2pm until 4pm. Entry is free.
