A health expert has won a national award as part of Adult Learners’ Week, which begins today.
Sarah Vernon, aged 49, has progressed from being an apprentice and assistant in a hospital cardiology department to becoming a senior cardiographer.
She has won a Learning for Work National Apprentice Award after contributing to the development of rigorous performance criteria.
Sarah, from Worksop, has also introduced methods for keeping costs down and is the designated ‘standards champion’ for the department. She can now also deliver training packages to others.
