A Doncaster primary school needs to put plans in place to continue to improve, an Ofsted report has revealed.
Government inspectors visited Armthorpe Tranmoor School and gave it a grade three of ‘requires improvement’ - a grade down from its previous inspection.
Officers found that achievement was not consistent at Key Stage Two and not enough teaching is consistently ‘good’ or ‘better’.
However, on a better note, it also reported that Tranmoor is an improving school and the new headteacher has raised expectations and improved the monitoring of pupils’ progress and the marking of pupils’ work.
A school spokesman said: “The school has put an action plan in place to ensure the quality of teaching and learning, with particular emphasis on reading, will improve.”
