YOUNG people are being given the chance to find out more about a new college set to open in Sheffield.
The University Technical College, which will be the first of its kind in Yorkshire when it begins teaching in September next year, is hosting an information event for potential pupils.
The Shoreham Street site will be open to 14 to 19-year- olds and will specialise in academic and vocational qualifications for the advanced engineering, manufacturing and creative industries sectors. A free information session takes place on Tuesday at the Workstation, Paternoster Row, from 6pm.
College principal Nick Crew said: “I am looking forward to meeting more parents and young people and explaining what is so distinctive about the UTC Sheffield.”
