HardWORKING catering students from Sheffield City College have been asked to talk turkey - taking on a challenge to create exciting new recipes using the Christmas favourite.
Their task is to create dishes to be served at the British Turkey industry awards ceremony in London later this year for more than 200 people.
Entries must include a innovative starter using turkey thigh and a main course using turkey breast.
The students will be going head to head with each other, as well as participants from other catering colleges across the country.
Lecturer Mick Burke said: “Working directly with the catering industry is crucial to developing our students’ skills and experience.
“This competition is an excellent opportunity for that.”
