A team of students from Sheffield University’s Trampoline Club will be taking part in a 12 hour sponsored bounce on Wednesday to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The event at Goodwin Sports Centre will feature Julie Lowe, Lianne Sellors, Evie Akiens and other volunteers.
The club has chosen the trust as its ‘charity of the year’ and is making this event just one of its fundraisers.
The trust was chosen because club members have friends who suffer from cystic fibrosis and cash is vital for research.
Members of the Trampoline Society are calling on others to get involved in their ‘big bounce’ with the public invited to come along, make a donation and try trampolining for themselves.
Students will also be putting on a display during the day.
Julie, who studies speech and language therapy, says the event promises to be an exciting one.
She said: “Trampolining is suitable for all abilities and is just so much fun no matter what age you are.”
Club member Catherine Southard added: “Trampolining is so much fun - who doesn’t want to pretend to fly?”
