THE National Union of Students’ annual conference is to return to Sheffield for a second year.
The conference, which came to Sheffield City Hall for the first time in April, was such a success with delegates the decision was taken to come back in 2013.
This year’s conference saw 1,500 student delegates from across the UK visit the city to set NUS policy for the year ahead and elect national student representatives.
Sheffield was chosen due to its large and diverse student population, with 60,000 students making up 10 per cent of the city.
“We are thrilled to be able to host the event in Sheffield again in 2013,” said University of Sheffield Students’ Union activities officer Nabil Alizai.
