Student bakers raise dough

A GROUP of Rotherham students have raised £173 for two charities by selling buns, mince pies and other goodies.

The students, who called themselves Santa’s Little Bakers, attend Rotherham College of Arts and Technology, and raised the money by having a stall in the town centre.

The money will be split between Help a Hallam Child and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Team leader Stacey Monaghan said: “The weekend was great. We sold almost everything – which we didn’t expect to do. The whole team enjoyed it and it was definitely worth all the work and late nights.”
