Two Sheffield schools are to receive achievement awards at an event in Bradford this afternoon.

Parkwood Academy is to be honoured for the progress its students make, while St Marie’s RC Catholic Primary in Broomhill is nominated for its excellent test results.

Both are among schools receiving SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards as a result of in-depth analysis of official Department for Education data.

Parkwood is singled out in the Outstanding Progress category, being in the top 20 per cent of non-selective schools nationally.

SSAT chief executive Sue Williamson said: “These schools should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement. They are leading the field.”
