TICKETS have gone on sale for a Sheffield school’s ambitious theatre production.

Youngsters from High Storrs School will stage the grisly musical Sweeney Todd School Edition - about a serial killer barber with a sideline in bakery.

They are taking to the stage at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield city centre in July.

And the entire school is behind the performance.

Teacher Carl Jeffery, who is producing and directing the musical, said: “There are 60 in the cast alone, plus musicians.

“And on top of that we’ve got kids who have volunteered for the choreography, to take the photographs, and they are starting to create the set.

“Tickets are already selling well.

Sweeney Todd is staged on July 5 and 6, with a matinee on the Saturday.

To book tickets, priced £8 and £6, visit www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk or call 0114 249 6000. See Tuesday’s Class Act for more.
