A Sheffield nursery has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by an Ofsted inspection team who found the children’s needs were being fully met by a caring team of staff.
Kidsunlimited at Millhouses has 168 on its roll and can care for 84 under eights at any one time.
Staff worked exceptionally well with parents and carers, while the nursery was effectively organised to support the children’s progress and development.
Youngsters were kept safe by good policies and procedures, while the nursery was continuing to develop through regular improvements.
Inspectors are advising the nursery to further improve risk assessments, and to support the children with a wider range of equipment such as cameras, photocopiers, CD players, tape recorders and programmable toys.
Manager Jo Whittingham said: “My team and I have worked continually over the past year to ensure the nursery offers children an environment where children can naturally love learning forever.”
Development director Jeremy Clark added: “The report highlights all the amazing work that Jo and her team have done. The report reads like a treasure chest of positive comments.”
