A student youth worker from Sheffield Hallam University is walking the corridors of power - after landing a dream job working for the Prime Minister.
Sheraz Hussain, aged 23, is at the Cabinet Office on a paid internship for the next nine months helping to develop David Cameron’s Points of Light scheme.
The first class honours graduate will be researching and identifying outstanding volunteers who’ve made a difference in their local communities and are worthy of the prestigious Points of Light award.
“It took a while for it all to sink in when I found out I’d got the internship,” said Sheraz. “It was a great feeling and it’s so surreal going into number 10. It’s a lot more relaxed than I’d expected and people really do love their job there so it’s a great place to work.”
