Schoolchums from 60 years ago swapped stories when they met for their annual reunion in a Sheffield pub.
Thirty former pupils from St Theresa’s RC School on Prince of Wales Road enjoyed the get together at the Noah’s Ark pub in Intake.
It’s a tradition that began in 2003 and has created a close-knit group, most of whom still live within a few miles of their old school on the Manor.
All the friends are now in their mid 70s and attended the school for junior and senior pupils between 1951 and 1954.
Bernard Dowling, aged 76, who helps organise the events, said St Theresa’s was a wonderful school.
“I was struggling when I arrived but once I was there I went from the bottom of the class up into the top six,” he said.
“We are all very close - some of the girls get together on their own for a Christmas do in Meadowhall.”
