PUPILS at three Rotherham schools have been praised by schools minister David Laws for getting full marks in their primary tests.

Whiston, Whiston Worrygoose and Canklow Woods schools are all on the roll of honour.

The schools each achieved 100 per cent in the three key measures - achievement in English and maths, the English progress measure, and the maths progress measure.

Broom Valley Community School and Kiveton Park Meadows Juniors were also praised for being among the 100 schools showing most sustained improvement in each year between 2009 and 2012.

Mr Laws said: “I would like to congratulate all staff, governors and pupils for their hard work and success.”
