STAFF and pupils at Doncaster School for the Deaf are celebrating after being judged as ‘good’ by Government inspectors.

The school achieved the rating in all five categories of the report, which praised its ‘imaginative curriculum’.

Inspectors commented that its ‘resourceful and creative’ teachers ‘make learning enjoyable’.

The school, on Leger Way, was marked as good for its overall effectiveness, the achievement of its pupils, the quality of teaching, the behaviour and safety of pupils, and its leadership and management.
