Retiring school staff praised

LONG-serving teachers who are retiring after decades of service are to be thanked by Sheffield Council.

The authority is sending a Common Seal of the Council commendation to staff including Dennis Buck, teacher at Lydgate Junior School and Susan Daniels, headteacher at Greenland Nursery Infant School, both retiring after 38 years.

Other school staff honoured are David Foster, head of Stocksbridge Junior School, who is retiring after 34 years; Richard Green, of Bradfield School; Linda Hall, of Birley Community College; Stephen Sykes, Tinsley Junior School; Julie Toth, Seven Hills School; Anita White, Meersbrook Primary School; Carole Willis, Halfway Nursery and Infant School; Anne Wilson, Longley Primary School; and Elaine Wright, Tapton School.
