Sheffield Hallam University has appointed a new pro-vice chancellor.
Professor Paul Harrison will take on the research and innovation role from January, taking responsibility for the university’s research.
The professor of quantum electronics is joining from Leeds University, where he is currently dean of postgraduate research studies.
Prof Harrison said: “I am honoured to be joining Hallam and will work hard with everybody at the university for the benefit of all.”
Prof Philip Jones, university vice-chancellor, said: “He brings excellent research and leadership credentials.”
