AN HISTORIC stained glass window is back in place at a Sheffield school after being renovated.
The 80-year-old prayer window, at Notre Dame High School in Ranmoor, has been restored over seven months before being put back in its original position.
Artist Thomas Early designed the window in 1935, and parts of the glass had begun to crack before the project started.
Experts dismantled the work before painstakingly cleaning and reassembling it.
School bursar Mike Dooley said he was pleased with the results.
“The prayer window looks great,” he added.
