THESE youngsters have helped raise thousands of pounds for a cancer charity.

Waverley Primary School in Balby hosted a fundraising coffee morning to raise cash for the MacMillan Cancer Support charity.

Organisers for the charity were hoping that a series of similar coffee mornings all across the borough would raise in the region of £35,000.

Schools, businesses and individual residents all ran events.

The charity says all the money raised by the events will be spent on its work in Doncaster, including care for patents at St John’s Hospice.
