PUPILS at Trinity Academy in Thorne are helping make it a happier Christmas for youngsters all over the world.
Scores of shoeboxes packed with gifts will be flying off to children around the world after pupils at the academy collected for the international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse.
Vice principal John Bunce said: “In this area people’s generosity knows no bounds. These are tough and uncertain times for us all, yet the ability to give never fails to amaze me.
“I have nothing but praise for the students who organised this and all those who generously donated toys, books, pens, sports kit and toiletries.”
