Four time capsules have been buried in the grounds of Sir Thomas Wharton Community College at Edlington to mark its transition to a Co-operative Academy.

All Year 7 students entered a competition to design capsules which reflect the four House Teams and the winners were Georgia Rigg, Henry Morley, Macy Oliver and Leah Macauley, all aged 12.

The capsules, which will be dug up in 2017 when they are Year 11s, contain information including a message to their future selves, favourite hobby, teacher, celebrity, subject, social media website and band, the

make and model of their mobile phone, their height, hairstyle, dream job and celebrity crush. A plaque to mark their location has been donated by Vinci plc.
