THE force looked strong in this group of Doncaster sixth formers.
Media students from Trinity Academy in Thorne were given the chance to stand on part of the set of the blockbuster 1970s film Star Wars as part of a study trip to London.
The group of 34 took part in a workshop with Hugh Jay, a famous animator who has worked on blockbusters including The Matrix and The Simpsons.
The session took place at the Movieum film museum in central London, where the Star Wars scenery is among the exhibits.
Pupil Jay Cafferty said: “Working with Hugh was a real inspiration. I was a bit reluctant to even try drawing at first but he brought the very best out in all of us. My animation looked quite good, which was a real surprise!”
Head of media studies at Trinity Academy, Catt Derry, said: “It was a fantastic trip. One minute we were standing next to Darth Vader, the next Alice in Wonderland.”
