ROSSINGTON All Saints School has become the first school in Doncaster to win a Get Set Award for London 2012 ahead of next year’s Olympics.

Caroline Flint presented the award to the school from the Flying High School Sport Partnership for its commitment to Olympic and Paralympic values.

The award is awarded on behalf of the London Organising Committee for 2012.

Ms Flint said: “I would love every school in Doncaster to get involved in the preparations for London 2012, so I am delighted that Rossington All Saints has received this Get Set Award.”

Alan Warboys said: “I am really pleased to have received the award from the Olympic Organising Committee, which is a reflection of the work carried out in relation to the London 2012 education programme.”

He added the school had some outstanding sporting ambassadors involved in its sports leadership academy who had done outstanding work.
