A north Derbyshire college is to have a new sport and fitness centre thanks to a £105,000 donation from a healthcare organisation.
Mount St Mary’s college in Spinkhill, near Killamarsh, will open the new centre up to the local community during evenings and weekends.
Nuffield Health has donated cash for the project and the centre is due to be open in February.
Dr Nicholas Cuddihy, headmaster at Mount St Mary’s College, said: “Choosing to work with Nuffield Health was an easy decision. Nuffield Health has a long history of delivering the highest level of service and support throughout its network of hospitals and fitness and wellbeing centres across the UK. We are confident that this partnership will strengthen the way we deliver our curriculum.”
