Ice cool South Yorkshire lad Ben in visit to school

Pupils with autism at the National Autistic Society’s Robert Ogden School in Rotherham enjoyed a visit from star ice hockey player Ben Bowns - who visited to show off the Olympic torch he carried as part of the relay.

Ben hosted a question and answer session during assembly before posing for pictures with children and staff.

He talked about the torch relay through Warmsworth in Doncaster, and about his ice hockey. Ben said he was ‘really pleased’ to visit the school and give the children chance to touch and hold the torch.
