CALLING all Sheffield schoolchildren - the search is on to find the city’s worst-dressed teacher.
Meadowhall shopping centre has launched a campaign to find the biggest classroom catastrophes after it found 68 per cent of shoppers believed teaching is the least fashionable profession.
In response to the findings, Meadowhall pledged to give a makeover to a teacher in South Yorkshire deemed most deserving of a style intervention and is inviting schoolchildren to put forward their nominations.
Bethanie Lunn, Meadowhall’s fashion and beauty expert, said: “In many ways, teaching and runway modelling are not that different.
“Everyday, teachers get scored by a live audience on their fashion sense. For too long I believe teachers have stifled their fashion sense in a bid to dress in a way they deem ‘appropriate’ – but professional doesn’t need to mean dowdy.”
Nominations can be submitted at www.meadowhall.co.uk, but time is running out as the closing date is this Friday.
