A HEADTEACHER at an international school in India has been found to have falsely claimed he gained a top qualification from the University of Sheffield.
Paul Meekin, head at the Trio World School, Karnataka, claimed on his CV to have qualified as a doctor of philosophy from the university in January 2004.
It was found to be untrue during investigations which followed his dismissal and arrest on a charge of sexually abusing a boy.
Meekin had also submitted a fabricated document to back up his application for the job.
He was dismissed after a complaint was filed by the boy’s mother and investigations are continuing.
