SHEFFIELD Hallam University has been shortlisted for a national Get Set award for its work in inspiring outstanding learning through use of the London 2012 Olympics.
Hallam is in line for success at the Podium awards, a one-off celebration on Thursday, May 3, to recognise the vital role colleges and universities across the UK have played in the lead up to the Games.
The university has won acclaim for Sports Lab, an interactive exhibition that tells the story of the history of sports science and engineering.
The exhibition at Weston Park Museum explores the impact of technology on Olympic sports and explains the underlying science.
Judges say it has raised interest in sport, science and engineering and will reach an eventual audience of more than 400,000 visitors.
