IT was CSI Armthorpe for dozens of Doncaster school pupils this week.

Amthorpe School, on Mere Lane, was turned into a crime scene for the day as part of the latest project designed to encourage children to read more. Pupils from both Armthorpe School and its feeder schools, and Don Valley High School in Scawthorpe, took part in a series of activities run as a murder mystery game.

Pupils tried to find the name of the murderer and the victim.

All the suspects were drawn from children’s books which are in contention for this year’s Doncaster Children’s Book Awards.
